Gabriela Maldonado Montano
Reimagining Change
United States

In the fall of 1996 Gabriela attended her first 3 Principles event in Santa Clara County (SCC) while going through a life event that she was experiencing with sadness, a deep sense of concern and worry for the future. During the second day of this event Dr. Roger Mills said “There is a place in you that is untouchable by your past, your current circumstances or whatever circumstance you may experience in the future” BOOM! Her soul recognized this as Truth. The week after this training Gabriela started sharing this with all the elementary school age kids that she was working with at the time.

This new understanding about life changed her trajectory personally and professionally. Gabriela had just completed a degree in Clinical Psychology. She wished this program would have explored the direction she had just discovered but instead the Department of Alcohol and Drug Services in SCC offered her a two and a half year training that prepared her to work individually, with groups and to train others in the art of sharing the 3 Principles. During this training she attended many talks by Sydney Banks where she heard him say “It’s not in the words, it’s in the feeling” and “Keep it simple”. These statements have become her northstar. In 2000, she became the first bilingual employee of a division in SCC whose goal was to share the principles with as many people as possible in a variety of settings including; education, alcohol and drug prevention and intervention, youth and adult incarceration, burnout prevention and community & leadership development. In 2010 Gabriela became co director of the Center for Sustainable Change, who served people in the most severe of circumstances across the US.

Today in collaboration with Marien Perez, she has developed Reimagining Change, a program that serves people and organizations. The objective of this program is to offer a 3 Principles based understanding that will help leaders, teams and individuals experience change with confidence, competence and new perspectives. Gabriela also has an alliance with the International Coaching Group (ICG) , an online coaching school that provides services in Spanish with most of its students in Latin America and Europe. Its founder Karen Vega is committed to contribute to the wellbeing of people around the world. ICG has shared this understanding free of change to over 1,700 people.

The last 3 decades have offered wonderful opportunities for Gabriela to work in the US, Latin America and Europe. In her partnerships, coaching, mentoring and facilitation, she brings forward her experience, her desire to contribute in the life of others and most importantly the message that “There is a part of you that is untouchable no matter what”.
