Omar Wilson
United Kingdom

Omar Wilson grew up in Manor Park, East London, where he faced numerous challenges from a young age. He was diagnosed with both ADHD and dyslexia, and his single-parent household, combined with a low income, made life difficult. Omar believed that having money would solve everything, but his disabilities prevented him from pursuing education as a means of achieving his goals. Sadly, his only positive role model was killed when he was just 13 years old, leaving him with no guidance and limited options.

Without direction or support, Omar turned to a life of crime and became involved in one of Newham's largest drug organizations. He spent nearly a decade committing crimes before ultimately being sent to HMP Onley. It was there that he discovered a group called Beyond Recovery, which helped him turn his life around. He became a Peer Mentor, facilitating groups within the prison and helping others who were struggling.

After leaving prison, Omar continued to work with Beyond Recovery, both at HMP Nottingham and online. He also worked with young people affected by crime and even became a Director at Beyond Recovery. During his two years as Director, he helped to take the business to new heights before ultimately resigning. Now, Omar is now on a venture starting his own company, Three Up Group C.I.C, which is a new venture that shows his determination and drive to create positive change in his life and the lives of those around him via Mind, Thought and Consciousness.
