Judith lives in London and has worked in the secondary education sector there for the past 34 years. She began as Drama and Performing Arts teacher, but has more recently moved into school leadership with responsibilities around diversity, student safeguarding and welfare. She has set up a team of mentors within school to support young people who are struggling with wellbeing issues and is beginning to explore how the Principles can impact on this work and shift the quality of the conversations that are held with the young people in her school.
She is also Artistic Director of her local amateur dramatic society and finds joy in the connection and collective experience of the live performances they create together.
Less formally, she helps facilitate a quiz and social space for a group of queer women who collided together during the isolation of the Covid lockdowns, and has been inspired by the immediacy of the openness, empathy, humanity and compassion it generates.
Judith is relatively new to the Principles and is excited and proud to be part of her first live conference and on a panel that is giving a platform to voices within the LGBTQ+ community
